From sloths, kangaroos and camels to emu, cattle & the much-loved Parakeet Encounter, you will get to view, interact with and learn about many diverse and interesting species at this family-owned zoo. You’ll even have the opportunity to pet and feed many of the animals!

 

While the animals are the stars of the show, there is more to see and do during your visit! Bring a picnic and take in the sights and sounds at one of the picnic areas. Then let the kids expend some energy on the playground, or have some fun exploring by the creek that runs through the property. While here be sure to visit the Daniel Boone historic site situated on the very land where Daniel Boone once lived and hunted, including the cabin which was built by Boone in 1795.

There will be a short educational show/talk that lasts about 30 minutes. After that, you are free to walk around and explore the remainder of your time.

When:  Thursday, September 15th, 2022 @ 10:45 am - 5:00 pm

• We will meet in the parking lot at 10:45 am. The zoo is open until 5pm, but you can leave whenever works for your family.

 

Who:  All ages

Cost:  $7.50 per person (admission only) or $9.50 per person (admission and a small cup of carrots and a seed stick)

• Children 2 years and under receive free admission.

• Carrots and a seed stick are $2 if purchased with admission, but you can also purchase carrots and seed sticks the day of the field trip for $3/cup of carrots and $2/seed stick

​

What to bring:

• Wear appropriate clothing for the weather

• Swimsuits/towels/water shoes if you'd like to play in the creek

• Sunscreen

• Water

• Picnic lunch (they only offer some drinks and snacks for sale)

There is a gift shop with souvenirs, snacks, drinks, and treats. They accept cash, credit, or debit.
